Ranking Creteria:
- Top 24 Men & 12 Women & 12 Jr. Selected for the Finals
o Top 2 from each Qualifier for Men
o Top 1 from each Qualifier for Women & Jr.
§ Previous World Champion has a by.
§ One Slot for Men, Women and Jr. given to the Team World Champions to decide
§ Remaining Men, Women and Jr. are Qualifiers. Qualifiers are to be chosen by points system based on number of competitors at each qualifying event.

Rules and Philosophy:
- Open to anyone in a sit-inside kayak under 9' (2.71 meter) in length.
- Juniors are deemed Men if they turn 19 during the competition year. Born before Dec. 31st, 1987 (i think? please check)
- Judging Philosophy ( Especially for the finals):
Drawn from the cutting edge of both surfing and kayaking: The judges will be looking for a ride that includes the highest risk, most innovative linked dynamic maneuvers utilizing of the most critical part of three best available waves in each heat.

"One question, people entering each of the contest are required to

> => No, it is the same as entering the open/hp division at the event. If
> the person does well and decides to go to the finals, or try out at
> another selecting event, they can do that.
